Just outside of Lake Placid, NY, John Brown Farm is a National Historic Landmark and New York Historic Site. It is the burial site John Brown, a well-known abolitionist and conductor of the Underground Railroad. Under Brown’s plan, he planned to establish the farm to relocate poor black men and offer them assistance.
